Clawson – State Sen. John Pappageorge announced today that he earned the endorsement of two prominent business groups: Small Business Association of Michigan and the National Federation of Independent Business/Michigan.
“Small business is the backbone of our economy,” said Pappageorge. “I am honored that SBAM and NFIB recognize my commitment to making Michigan a better place to do business and I look forward to continuing to work on behalf of those that create jobs so we can fix Michigan.”
The NFIB is Michigan’s largest small business advocacy group.According to NFIB State Director Charles Owens, “lawmakers voting to rein in state government and balance the budget through spending cuts rather than tax hikes received high marks.”
The SBAM is the only statewide and state-based association that focuses solely on serving the needs of Michigan’s small business community. Endorsements were based on candidate surveys, voting records, personal interviews and other relevant criteria in determining which candidates will best serve the interests of small business.
Both SBAM and NFIB are non-profit, nonpartisan organizations committed to small business advocacy.
